Jennifer Warren

Jennifer Warren describes her creation process as a transformative practice necessary for self exploration and acceptance. Primarily self taught, she began experimenting with oil painting at the Marchutz School of Fine Art in Aix-en-Provence, France, where she was drawn to the medium’s ability to depct fantastical environments on canvas. As a Black artist working today, Jennifer is heavily influenced by the Black Lives Matter movement and uses her practice to empower people of color by painting grand figures that convey strength, beauty, and significance. Jennifer is based in Chicago, where she was selected to be featured in The Other Art Fair in 2020.
