Tao Group, The Fleur Room

Located on the bustling Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, The Fleur Room is a reservations-only cocktail lounge where guests can enjoy handcrafted cocktails in an elaborate, lavish interior. Created by the globally renowned Tao Group Hospitality, the lounge first opened its doors in August 2022 and offers an endless array of enticing cocktails and spirits—often with dramatic presentations that are further enhanced by the seductive atmosphere of the lounge.

Conceived in partnership with interior designer Tara Bean, the cocktail bar’s maximalist design is a fitting home for experimental artworks by emerging artists. A towering “love-handle” vase by artist Anissa Kermiche spills over with fresh flowers and is the first art piece to greet guests as they enter the space. Vibrant and lively paintings from Los Angeles-based artist Kenny Scharf and NYC-based artist Emma McMillan further enhance the energetic and rebellious nature of the lounge.

Following a private tour at Saatchi Art’s LA edition of The Other Art Fair, Tao Group Hospitality asked Saatchi Art’s Hospitality art advisors to commission a piece by Fair exhibitor Natalya Seva to add to the bar’s collection. The result was an expansive, handmade Raku ceramic wall sculpture that Natalya created to complete the art on display at The Fleur Room.

Working primarily with Raku pottery, Natalya shapes freestanding sculptures and wall installations that encourage viewers to slow down and reflect on nature.

Natalya’s ceramic wall hanging provides a focal point to the lounge—reflecting the metallic accents of the oversized gold flower disco ball and complementing the navy blue wallcoverings of the 2,000-square-foot-space. The naturally subtle materials used in Natalya’s sculpture are contrasted with and heightened by The Fleur Room’s plush blue velvet seating, thick marbled cocktail tables, and intricate Venetian glass fixtures.
